Many women are blindsided when their relationships end. In fact, you may never have known anything was wrong until you accidentally found that your man had been searching online for the best dating site. Obviously, something was amiss and you didn’t see it coming. Even when he finally walked out the door for the last time, you may not have given up hope. And why SHOULD you? He loved you once. Who’s to say he won’t love you again? There are things you can try when it comes to getting your ex back.
First of all stay strong. Clinging, begging and other desperate reactions will convince your ex that he made the right decision. Therefore, it’s very important to show the world and him that you can deal with this bad time in your life. No one said breakups are easy but you need to do your crying and yelling in private.
Next, minimize all contact with your ex. He obviously needed this break so you must give it to him. Allow time for thinking. This is the best way to assess your relationship for both of you. Clearing away the confusion from his mind may help him see just how great your relationship really was.
You must be flexible. There’s no way to scare someone into coming back to you. Remember that he left you because he wasn’t happy. You must now be the listener and sympathize with him. This doesn’t mean you must give in to every demand but meeting halfway and possibly a bit beyond, may rebuild your communication.
This isn’t the time to be alone and sulk. Get in touch with some old friends and go out. It’s time to develop other forms of entertainment. You don’t have to date or even LOOK at another guy. Just occupy yourself and get to know the real you again. When you speak to your ex again, these excursions will give you new stories to share.
Just be yourself. There’s a reason you and your ex were attracted to each other at all. It’s because you’re a unique person. Think back to the things that made the beginning of the relationship so awesome and see what changed. Enhance your good qualities and be yourself. You’ll be amazed at what can happen.
