We are sometimes tempted to spy on our spouse’s PC. We are probably a little suspicious of their activities online especially if they have been spending long hours glued on their computer monitor.
While we do not really want to appear possessive and overly jealous, at times it just cannot be helped. We read a lot of things about the notoriety of chat rooms and how these Internet features often lead to cyber relationships even for married people.
So in answer to the question posted above, there is nothing wrong with spying if you have strong suspicions of activities that your partner should not engage himself in. For your peace of mind, you can do so, however, it is important that you are careful every time.
The first thing you can do is to check the computer’s archives. Usually, saving chat logs is enabled by default, and this folder has a record of every chat conversation your spouse had. However, if your spouse is real smart and cleans his mess then this option might not be available.
If this is the case, your next option is to install a software program that allows you to view chat conversations even remotely. This program records conversations without your spouse’s knowledge. You can set this up in a way that it will just email you the chat logs without your partner ever finding out about it.
Be careful however because if your spouse knows computers like the back of his hand, he may find out what you are doing and this could lead to trouble between the two of you. He will start accusing you of not trusting him and the issue might get blown out of proportions. Use sophisticated programs to lower your risks of being found out.
If you do discover that your spouse is cheating on you, decide on your next steps. Confrontation can be hard and it might lead to huge fights, or even separation. Before you decide to spy on your spouse, you should be emotionally ready to accept the truth, whatever it may be. You might not like what you will discover, you know.
